38 Years Of NRM: A Look Through President Museveni’s Government
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni having ruled Uganda for last 38 years, much trust is still given to him to continue ruling the country by Ugandans, more so even the International Organizations trusting him like Non Aligned Movement NAM to be their chairman for the next 3 years.
Today in our Liberation story, we bring to you different people analyzing the NRM ruling government, what has been done, and why President Museveni is a still the Head of State.
It is believed that due to the actions taken by NRM under the leadership of Yoweri Kaguta Museveni as the Chairman over the past 38 years, the NRM Party continues to govern for an extended period. This is attributed to the fact that Ugandans experienced significant hardships, particularly in terms of insecurity, during the previous regime.
These say President Museveni's election as Chairman for a duration of 3 years for both NAM and G77+China serves as evidence of his ability to lead, given that he has governed Uganda for the past 38 years and continues to be a prominent leader.
It is widely acknowledged that the current government has accomplished numerous achievements over the course of three decades, despite the existence of a minority who fail to recognize the progress made.
Lwanga Rashid Ssenyonjo, a senior cadre of the NRM, also emphasized the advantages that Buganda gained from the Bush War.
Jorum Oitit from the Labor Export Industry says that NRM government has played a big role in ensuring that there is a favorable working Environment for all citizens.
They say that freedom fighters should be remembered and appreciated for liberating Uganda.
Ugandans are thus urged to embrace the upcoming Celebrations of this year, which are scheduled to be held at Wakitaka playgrounds in Jinja City on Friday.
