
Archbishop Dr. Kaziimba-Mugalu Begins Three-Day Pastoral Visit To The Diocese Of Kigezi
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba-Mugalu, has begun a three-day pastoral visit to The Diocese Of Kigezi.
He was received in the diocese by excited Christians led by the Bishop of Kigezi Diocese, Gaddie Akanjuna, and his predecessors, George Bagamuhunda and William Rukirande.
The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba-Mugalu was received on the evening of 15th April 2023 by hundreds of Christians at the Great Lakes Museum, on the border of Rukiga and Ntungamo districts.
The Archbishop was then led in a convoy to address the Christians who had gathered at a playground in Muhanga town council, Rukiga district. According to Bishop Akanjuna, the Archbishop’s visit to the diocese is a remarkable source of joy to the Christians, who turned up in large numbers to receive him.
Later during his address, the Most Rev. Dr. Kaziimba-Mugalu Archbishop asked Christians to appreciate God for the blessings in their lives life to enable them to enjoy life on earth.
The Archbishop also appealed to the faithful to dedicate whatever they have received to the Lord for multiple blessings and sustainable happiness and joy. Some of the leaders and Christians the Archbishop addressed, said that his visit will be of great impact to the locals in the area.
During his three-day pastoral visit, Archbishop Dr. Kaziimba-Mugalu will open various churches in the districts of Rukiga, Rubanda, and Kabale that form the Kigezi Diocese. He will then crown it all by leading service for all Christians in Kigezi Diocese at St. Peter's Cathedral Rugarama, Kabale on 29th April 2023.
