Buganda calls for prioritization of PWDs

Buganda calls for prioritization of PWDs

As the world continues to commemorate the International day of Persons with Disability, we speak to Nakandi Peninah, a person with disability to understand what it means to be in that condition.

Nakandi is however grateful to government for the consideration of Persons with Disabilities in different government programs.

Buganda Kingdom Spokesperson Noah Kiyimba now wants all stakeholders, government and Policy makers to prioritize the rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Buganda Lukiiko representative for persons with disability Owekitiibwa Dr. Vincent Ssenabulya has however urged persons with disability to stop consoling themselves and work towards improving their livelihood.

Buganda Kingdom will commemorate the International Day of Persons with disability on the 14th of Dec 2022 and the Katikkiro of Buganda Owekitiibwa Charles Peter Mayiga. Will preside over the function.
