Fathers Wake Up And Takeover Your Responsibilities – Dr. JC Muyingo
The state minister for higher education Dr. John Cryzestom Muyingo has urged parents, especially men who have adamantly abandoned their responsibilities to wake up and take over their duties as fathers because they are supposed to be heads.
Dr JC Muyingo disclosed this in a meeting with residents, religious leaders and local leaders at Vumba village in Busiika Town Council in Luwero district.
According to 1 Timothy 5:8 “But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel." The scriptures call for believers to responsibly take care of their own families, however, it has been widely seen in this generation that some parents especially fathers have adamantly refused to take care of their children giving lame excuses.
It is upon this that the state minister for higher education Dr John Cryzestom Muyingo urged parents especially men who have intentionally rejected their responsibilities, leaving their children under the care of mothers only, to wake up and take over their duties as fathers because they are supposed to be heads of their Families.
Dr. Muyingo further called upon parents to adequately prepare for their children especially those who are soon finalizing their UNEB exams to productively use their long holidays such that they groom good and humble citizens in their society.
During this meeting, Richard Nyombi the Mayor of Busiika Town Council said that he is disappointed with parents that have refused to take their children to government schools but instead turn them into hawkers selling tomatoes and onions during school times.
Dr. Muyingo also urged residents to embrace government programs such as the Parish Development Model such that they are in a position to take their children to school as well as improve their economic standards of living.
