Fire Outbreak At Kisakye Primary School Mengo
A fire has destroyed property at Kisakye Nursery and Boarding Primary School in Mengo Kakeeka, Kampala.
A team from the police department of fire and rescue services rushed to put out the fire as investigations continue to establish the cause of the morning fire.
Eyewitnesses say the fire started at 11 am from the boys' dormitory as the pupils were out for break time.
Kibuuka Paul, the headteacher of Kisakye Nursery and Boarding Primary School says he was in his office when he saw children running away and the cause was not clear at the time.
A number of parents rushed to the schools to take away their children.
The officer in charge of fire and rescue services at Old Kampala Police Station, Godfrey Okobo said that the cause of the fire was yet to be established.
However, he noted that the boarding pupils have been sleeping in less than favorable conditions.
