Good Friday: Christians Urged To Refrain From Greed
Christians at St. Francis Chapel Makerere have today joined fellow Christians across the globe to commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and His death
C.O.U Family TV visited St. Francis Chapel Makerere where Christians were urged to refrain from greed and live for Christ in all aspects of their lives.
It was a service of meditation at St. Chapel Makerere as Christians came together to commemorate the love of Jesus Christ through the cross on Good Friday.
During the Service, Rev. Can. Dr. John Senyonyi, who was a guest preacher at St. Francis Chapel Makerere told Christians to take Good Friday seriously and learn to walk in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
Rev. Can. Dr. John Senyonyi asked Christians to use this as an opportunity to renew their spiritual relationship with God.
Dr. Senyonyi cautioned the faithful to shun evil and condemned greed in the country adding that Christians ought to treasure their lives and not compare them with worldly pleasures.
He highlighted that Christians should mind what they do with their bodies and also remember that their bodies are the temples of God saying in this they will glorify the name of the Lord which is the relevance of Good Friday.
Good Friday marks the beginning of the Easter Triduum, which includes Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday.
