The Uganda Police Force has registered yet another mob violence incident in Kole District involving two deaths. Following an incident that happened a few days ago, police spokesperson ACP Rusoke Kituuma has once again condemned the act of mob violence, stressing that perpetrators will be traced, prosecuted, and brought before the courts of law. Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to thorough investigation into the brutal murder of former national rugby player Sydney Gongodyo, vowing that justice will be pursued to its full extent. This was addressed during a media press briefing at the police headquarters today.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Rusoke Kituuma clarified reports surrounding the alleged mob killing of one Lubega Fahad in Kiwatule. The police spokesperson corrected earlier miscommunication, emphasizing that the incident had not occurred as initially reported. He further noted that investigations into the matter remain ongoing.

Police further urged the public to promptly report incidents, stressing that timely action is critical in preventing such tragedies. Authorities noted that swift reporting could save the victim’s life and ensure the immediate apprehension of suspects in cases of mob action.

Beyond addressing cases of mob justice, the police spokesperson highlighted ongoing operations across the Kampala Metropolitan Area. He underscored the Force’s sustained efforts to apprehend criminals and called on the public to work hand in hand with law enforcement to strengthen community safety.
