President Urges Public Service Workers To Refrain From Corruption

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged public servants wherever they are to increase their efforts in their services and avoid corruption for the sake of good governance of the citizens.

Vice President of Uganda H.E Jessica Alupo delivered this message at the 13th Africa Public Service Day event at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.

The event was attended by senior officials including Her Excellency Jesca Alupo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Service, Catherine Bitarakwate Musingwiire, and others. Exhibitions and activities characterized the celebrations to appreciate all the service workers across the country.

The Public Service sector has been recognized and appreciated for its contributions to Uganda's citizens, noting that the service has greatly improved, especially with the automation of various businesses in institutions enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Despite the service improvement, Jessica Alupo, presenting the president's message, urged workers to avoid corruption and instead increase their efforts in serving the country.

However, in his message, the president especially appreciated Chief Organizer Catherine Bitarakwate and other contributors for volunteering and making the event successful. He praised law enforcement agencies for their excellent work and dedication.
