Rotary Club Of Kabale Donates Piped Water To Villages In Kanungu District

Rotary club of Kabale has donated piped water to villages in Kanungu; the donation comes after a heavy out cry of water crisis in the villages of northern ward, Kanungu town council in Kanungu District.
These have benefited from the project after a long period of travelling long distances to fetch water and in most cases they would acquire diseases like diarrhea due to using unclean water for their domestic work.
This prompted some village members to seek aid from rotary club of Kabale which in return yielded positively.
Charles Karuma the president rotary club of Kabale highlighted that the project has so far started with three villages that are in critical need and the program is designed to extend the supply to other villages in the town council as they acquire more funds where he appealed to the beneficiaries to safeguard the project in order to be sustainable.
Mubiru Joseph who is in charge of grants in the rotary club called on the local community to own the project and create a wallet where to save some money to help them meet expenses in case of any challenges like bursts and leakages.
The project Engineer hailed the community for embracing the project and for their participation that made it successful as he requested them to take good care of it if they are to benefit longer.
The Community represented by the Chairperson LC1 Marry Mujojo thanked the donors for their generosity adding the provision of clean and safe water will be of a paramount importance to them for their wellbeing.
