Senior State Attorney Henry Kuloba Wesaka reassures the public that the government is committed to preventing estate losses and provides guidance on how affected individuals can seek extensions. The law, stemming from the Succession Amendment Act of 2022, aims to address longstanding delays in estate distribution caused by indefinite legal grants.
This report explores the implications for estate owners, the challenges posed by current legal gaps, and the steps being taken to improve estate management and inheritance rights in Uganda.
