
UPDF troops in Somalia celebrate Tarehe Sita
The Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) troops serving under the AMISOM in Somalia on Sunday joined the rest of their counterparts to mark the 41st Tarehe Sita celebrations.
The exercise that was launched at sector one base camp in Mogadishu on Saturday by the commander of the UPDF Contingent Brig-Gen Keith Katungi who was represented by his deputy Col. David Opero was concluded on Sunday, February, 6th
The UPDF is involved in several civil-military activities that bring them closer to the communities they serve.
At the Marina market, Brig Katungi led the UPDF soldiers to clean the market before being joined by market vendors and locals from the nearby communities in the exercise.
