Church Of Uganda Renames Church House To Janani Luwum Church House
Church of Uganda has renamed the prestigious Church House in Kampala to Janani Luwum Church House in honor of the slain Archbishop of the province of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Boga-Zaire.
This pronouncement was made by Church of Uganda Archbishop Dr. Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu in Mucwini in Kitgum district during Janani Luwum day celebrations.
Located on plot 34 in the capital Kampala, the prestigious Church House building, the home of Church of Uganda Family TV has been rebranded, "Janani Luwum Church House." in honor of slain Archbishop Janani Luwum who was murdered by Idi Amin Dada.
The Archbishop, however, reminded the government that the building still has a huge debt that needs to be cleared; thereby calling on the president to pay the Church of Uganda what it owes the government so as to clear the debt. In response, President Museveni promised to have the issue resolved.
