Equity Bank Donates ICT Equipment to Busoga Diocese to Enhance Service Delivery

Equity Bank Uganda has donated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment to the Office of the Bishop of Busoga Diocese in a move aimed at improving administrative efficiency and service delivery across the Busoga sub-region.

The donation, which was handed over at Bugembe Cathedral on Tuesday afternoon, included laptops, desktop computers, and printers. The equipment is expected to facilitate faster communication, improve record management, and enhance day-to-day diocesan operations.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Ronald Nakhasanga, the eastern regional manager of Digital Giants, emphasized the strong partnership between Equity Bank Uganda and the church. He noted that supporting institutions that directly serve communities remains part of the bank's broader commitment to social and economic transformation.

Nakhasanga said the donation reflects the shared vision of empowering organizations that play a significant role in community development and service delivery.

Receiving the equipment, Rt. Rev. Canon Prof. Grace Lubaale expressed gratitude for the support. He noted that the ICT equipment will greatly improve efficiency within the diocesan offices and strengthen the diocese's ability to serve its congregations effectively.

The Bishop further highlighted the growing importance of technology in modern administration and ministry, adding that the donation comes at a time when institutions are increasingly embracing digital solutions to enhance productivity and communication.

The donation is expected to contribute to improved workflow, recordkeeping, and communication within the Diocese, ultimately benefiting both church leadership and the wider community it serves.
