CDF Announces Major Restructuring Within PLU:Fadhil Twaha Appointed New General Secretary As PLU Refreshes Leadership.Youth Leaders Welcome Changes, Pledge Support For New Team

The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has unveiled a major leadership restructuring aimed at strengthening its operations and expanding its national outreach. The changes, announced by the Chief of Defense Forces and PLU Chairman, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, retain several key figures while introducing new leaders to steer the organization into its next phase.

The latest restructuring within the Patriotic League of Uganda has seen Fadhil Twaha appointed as the new General Secretary, replacing Daudi Kabanda, who has served in the position for the past three years.

The leadership changes are being viewed by supporters as a strategic move aimed at strengthening the organization's structures and advancing its agenda across the country.

In an exclusive interview, the chairman of MK Youth Initiative, Patrick Okiru, commended the outgoing general secretary, Daudi Kabanda, for what he described as dedicated service and effective leadership during his tenure.

Okiru said Kabanda played a significant role in strengthening the movement and mobilizing support for its activities over the last three years.

He, however, noted that the appointment of a new leadership team presents an opportunity to inject fresh ideas and energy into the organization.

Okiru pledged the continued support of the MK Youth Initiative towards the vision and agenda championed by General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

He further expressed readiness to work closely with the newly appointed General Secretary, Fadhil Twaha, and other members of the leadership team.

Okiru also called upon all groups and affiliates aligned to the movement to remain united and support the new leadership in achieving its objectives.

Political observers say the restructuring is likely to shape the next phase of PLU's activities as the organization seeks to consolidate its support base and strengthen its presence across the country.
