Namirembe Diocesan Mothers' Union Empowers Women Leaders: Mothers' Union Trains Women in Leadership and Family Values. Women Church Leaders Urged to Lead with Faith and Integrity.

The Namirembe Diocesan Mothers' Union has equipped women leaders from Kasubi Parish in Mengo Archdeaconry with leadership and family-life skills aimed at strengthening Christian families, promoting responsible leadership, and enhancing women's role in the Church and the community.

Women serving in church leadership continue to face challenges, including balancing ministry with family responsibilities and responding to the growing needs of their communities. To strengthen their capacity, the Namirembe Diocesan Mothers' Union, in partnership with Kasubi Parish, organized a leadership training for Mothers' Union leaders drawn from different congregations across the parish.

The participants received practical training in servant leadership, communication, mentorship, conflict resolution, teamwork, and Christian family values.

The training began with a devotion led by Rev. Nathan Nsubuga, priest at St. Rachael Bulange Church of Uganda. He encouraged the women to trust in God, embrace forgiveness, and lead by example, reminding them that effective Christian leadership begins in the family through love, humility, patience, and faithfulness.

Facilitators challenged participants to become servant leaders who inspire positive change in their homes, churches, and communities.

Namirembe Diocesan Mothers' Union President Roseline Bingi Kawiso thanked the women for participating and urged them to put the knowledge acquired into practice by mentoring younger women, promoting peaceful homes, and strengthening fellowship within their congregations.

She also commended members for their continued commitment towards the construction of the Mothers' Union House, describing the project as a major milestone that will strengthen the ministry's work across the diocese.

Community Development Coordinator Samalie Nkuubi said equipping women with leadership and family-life skills will contribute to stronger Christian families, vibrant congregations, and communities founded on faith and service.

Participants described the training as timely and impactful, saying it had strengthened their leadership abilities and renewed their commitment to serving God, their families, and their communities.

The training is part of the Namirembe Diocesan Mothers' Union's ongoing efforts to build confident, faith-driven women leaders capable of nurturing stable families, strengthening the Church, and positively transforming their communities through Christian leadership.
