New Rotaract Leaders Commit To Service And Environmental Conservation:Rotary Club Of Lake Bunyonyi Ushered In New Leadership.

The Rotary Club of Lake Bunyonyi has ushered in a new era of leadership with the installation of its fourth President, Rotarian Aggrey Matsiko

The colourful ceremony, held at Cephas Inn Hotel in Kabale, also witnessed the installation of new Rotaract Club leaders, who pledged to strengthen community service and environmental conservation efforts.

 

The Rotary Club of Lake Bunyonyi officially installed its 4th President, Rotarian Aggrey Matsiko, who takes over leadership from outgoing President Rotarian Jean Tukamushaba.

Speaking after his installation, Akampurira pledged to lead with transparency, integrity, and commitment while strengthening relationships among members and expanding community service initiatives aimed at creating lasting impact.

 

 

Akampurira revealed that the Rotaract Club plans to purchase and distribute seeds to vulnerable families affected by malnutrition in communities around Lake Bunyonyi.

 He also called upon members to uphold Rotary values, embrace innovation, and continue working together to improve livelihoods within their communities.

 

 

Outgoing Rotary Club President Rotarian Jean Tukamushaba highlighted achievements registered during his tenure, noting that the club implemented impactful projects in health, education, environmental conservation, and medical outreach services.

 

He added that several community-centered activities were carried out around Lake Bunyonyi to improve livelihoods and promote environmental protection.

 

 

 

Taking over office, the new Rotary Club President Rotarian Aggrey Matsiko, praised the spirit of teamwork among members, describing it as the foundation of the club’s growth and achievements.

Matsiko expressed confidence that the club would accomplish even more during his term and pledged to elevate service activities to greater heights.

 

 

He further emphasised the club’s commitment to working closely with communities and stakeholders to restore and protect the Lake Bunyonyi ecosystem through sustainable environmental conservation initiatives.

 

 

The ceremony attracted political leaders, Rotarians, Rotaractors, and community members who gathered to witness the leadership transition and celebrate Rotary’s continued commitment to the principle of “Service above Self.”
